Delivery & Shipping Policy
Everything you need to know about how we hand-deliver your fresh cakes and flowers across China.
1. Delivery Areas & Fees
We are proud to partner with premium local bakeries and florists to cover 99% of addresses across Mainland China.
- Urban & City Areas: Standard delivery is available for all major cities and downtown areas.
- Rural & Township Areas: We also deliver to most rural areas, counties, and townships. However, because these locations require extra travel time for our couriers, an additional delivery fee will apply. You must select the appropriate "Rural/Township" delivery option during the checkout process.
?? 2. Delivery Dates & Same-Day Delivery
Advance Ordering (Recommended): To guarantee your preferred delivery slot and ensure the widest selection of fresh items, we recommend placing your order at least 1 day in advance. For major Chinese holidays (e.g., Valentine's Day, 520 Day (May 20th), Mother's Day, Qixi Festival), please consider ordering 3 to 5 days in advance.
Forgot a special occasion? We've got you covered. We offer Same-Day Delivery under the following conditions:
- Cut-off Time: Your order must be placed before 5:00 PM Beijing Time (CST) on the desired delivery day. (Please calculate the time zone difference carefully!)
- Location: Available for urban and city addresses only. (Excludes rural or remote township areas).
- Product Type: Available for standard fresh cream cakes and floral arrangements. Specialty items that require advanced preparation or chilling time (such as Mousse cakes or highly customized fondant designs) are not eligible for same-day delivery.
Evening Deliveries (Up to 10:00 PM): We know that birthday dinners and celebrations often happen at night! We are happy to accommodate evening delivery requests, with our latest delivery available up until 10:00 PM China Standard Time (CST).
To request an evening delivery (or any specific time), you must type your preferred time in the "Order Notes" box located strictly within the Recipient Information form on our checkout page. Please do not leave these requests in your PayPal or credit card payment notes.
?? 3. The Delivery Process & Phone Calls
Unlike standard package delivery in many Western countries where items can be left on a porch, we are delivering highly perishable goods. To ensure food safety and pristine quality, our delivery protocol in China is as follows:
- Mandatory Phone Call: Our local courier will almost always call the recipient's local Chinese phone number before arriving to ensure someone is present to receive the gift.
- Accurate Information: You must provide a valid, active Chinese phone number for the recipient during checkout.
We understand you might want to keep the gift a complete surprise. However, to prevent cakes from melting or spoiling outside locked apartment buildings, calling ahead is necessary. The courier will be discreet, but they must confirm someone is at the address to hand-deliver the perishable items.
?? 4. Unsuccessful Deliveries
We will make every effort to deliver your gift successfully. However, Rainwish cannot be held responsible for failed or delayed deliveries (and no refunds will be issued) in the following situations:
- The shipping address provided by the customer is incorrect, incomplete, or does not exist.
- The recipient's phone number provided is incorrect, out of service, or the recipient refuses to answer the courier's calls after multiple attempts.
- The recipient is not at the specified address, and there is no safe place (like a front desk or reception) to leave the perishable items.
- The recipient explicitly refuses to accept the gift.
If the courier cannot reach the recipient, they will attempt to contact the sender (you) via email. If we cannot resolve the issue within the delivery day, the perishable items may be disposed of, and the order will be considered fulfilled.
?? 5. Order Modifications
If you need to change the delivery address, recipient phone number, or delivery date, you must contact us at support@rainwish.com as soon as possible. Once the order status changes to "Scheduled for Delivery" (meaning our local partner has secured the ingredients and begun preparation), we can no longer make changes or cancel the order.
